Commands:

nice nohup /iona/disk2/qmc/CPW2000/Source/cpw_bands.exe < inputfile >& outputfile &
runs DFT in the background outputting all compiler messages to the output file

nice nohup /iona/disk2/qmc/src/dmc/dmc_elec/dmc_mov1 < inputfile >& outputfile &
runs VMC or DMC in the background outputting all compiler messages to the output file

Monitoring

top looks at all jobs running on the machine

From S1 file, for lowest energy and error bar, copy i1.x to i550.x

Modify script rundmc to read i550.x

qsub rundmc runs dc

Monitoring

qpeek jobid looks at runningjob

qstat -u [userid] gives status of all running jobs.
