A look of alarm appears on your uncle's face as you describe what you saw. You were not really sure that he would believe you, but he seems to be taking it all very seriously.
He is very worried that your aunt may be in danger. 'I'm going on up to the observatory,' he tells you as he jumps back into the car. 'You'd better stay here for now, and I'll come back and get you when I've checked things out up there.' Uncle Jack calls out to Olaf, the big man who runs the petrol station, to take care of you for an hour or so. 'Sure thing, Dr Richards,' replies Olaf, wiping his hands on an oil rag. 'The kid'll be safe here.'
You watch your uncle drive off. Olaf tells you not to worry. 'You probably just saw an electrical storm or something,' he says but you know that Uncle Jack thought it was more than that. Olaf gets you a Coke from the fridge and then goes off to do some repairs to his truck.

Wait here as your uncle asked you to
Sneak off and start walking up to the observatory
