Ducklings!

As seen in the ice storm pictures, there is a stream that runs through the grounds of my apartment complex, and this stream often contains ducks. In mid-May, some of them had babies. So cute! There were at least eight ducklings with this mother, but they spread out enough that they're usually not all visible in a single picture.

The stream is well-shaded with only little spots of sunlight, so many of the pictures originally had a lot of contrast in them. I lightened some of the shadows up to make more stuff visible (and did it well enough that it's not obvious that half the frame has been gamma-boosted), but there are some pretty bright sun glints on the water in most of the pictures. It makes them look sort of hazy.
