Abstract

Continuous filaments are manufd. by dissolving sulfonated polyaniline polymer in acid or base to form a soln. and contacting ³1 stream of the sulfonated polyaniline polymer soln. with a medium in which the sulfonated polyaniline polymer is substantially insol. Dissolving sulfonated polyaniline in 2-10% NaOH and injecting the soln. as a stream into a HCl soln. gave fibers with cond. 0.1-1 S/cm.
