Although I agree that there is a need to state cosmology in a form that is accessable to a general audience, this is not intended for that purpose. It is built for the already initiated as a resource; A clearinghouse for the latest information. As such, it is not a good place to learn the basics of cosmology or BBN.
For someone with a physics background, I might suggest books such as Kolb and Turner, The Early Universe, or Peebles Principles of Physical Cosmology as a starting place. For a general audience, I don't know of a reference that is both readable and up to date. I would be interested in hearing of one.
