Here, I have embedded a pion pairs with a 100 MeV/c momentum difference into a Au+Be event at the pixel level.
These will be easy to pull apart, but note that it is clear even at this stage that the seperation efficiency
will depend strongly on where you are in phase space.
For a bit more info on what is done, see the page showing the single embedded proton
in this same event.
Also see the page that discusses track splitting
even in this simple event!
- Blue dots are hits unused by the tracker
- Green triangles are hits used by the tracker (jtf)
- Black triangles are hits tagged by h2d as coming from the embedded pions
- Red and purple triangles are
hits belonging to the reconstructed tracks that were
associated (by trk_evaluate) with the embedded pions.
