Particles in Motion

"Six Ideas that Shaped Physics" (Second Edition), Units C and N, by Thomas A. Moore
There are errata pages for Unit C and Unit N (second edition, 2003).
For the labs you'll need a lab notebook and the "Physics 131 Laboratory Activities and Worksheets, 3rd edition" manual.
Material:
Physics H131 will cover all or most of the material in units C and N of the text (about three chapter per week).
We will learn about one of the most fundamental concepts in Physics, namely conservation laws. We will see that many aspects of the motion of particles can be understood from these conservation laws alone. Then, we will move on to an even more refined description of the motion of particles. The basic topics are:
