Dear everyone: The proper procedure for making any changes to the "default" or "distributed" ITS geometry (excluding bug fixes, for example fixing the miss numbering of some detector volume), as it applies to the ITS, is the following. Franco Daudo (daudo@to.infn.it) sends any requests for new or updated geometries of the ITS to Lars Leistam (lars.leistam@cern.ch) and to Roberto Barbera (roberto.barbera@ct.infn.it) and Bjorn S. Nilsen (nilsen@mps.ohio-state.edu). We will inform Federico Carminati (federico.carminati@cern.ch) that new drawings have been received and sent to Lars. Lars Leistam then checks the drawings (or better 3D CAD files) to see if there might be any integration problems. Only after Lars Leistam's approval, a copy of the approved drawings (3D CAD files) are then given to Roberto Barbera to turn into code/data-files for use by in Aliroot. Roberto Barbera then gives the code/data-files based on the approved drawings to Federico Carminati for inclusion into the official distribution of Aliroot. This does not limit any one from introducing their own "private" geometry for the ITS, but this geometry can not and will not represent the ITS in the official aliroot distribution.
