CURRENT RESEARCH
Current research involves the study of spin dependent transport in layered magnetic devices which incorporate organic layers.

Graduate work involved the study of the magnetic behavior in the quasi-one-dimensional organic-based magnet [MnTPP]+[TCNE]-. This material was shown to have spin glass properties including a frequency dependent cusp in the ac susceptibility as well as long-time relaxation above the spin glass transition temperature. The magnetic behavior was modeled with a critical fractal cluster scaling approach. The results suggest that the spin clusters formed in this system are fractal in nature, with the fractals largely concentrated along a single chain of the material.
