My Job :
I'm a Research Assistant 2-Phy and work in the Low Temperature Facility. My office is in room 2144 and my shop is in room 2138, Smith lab. I build and repair low temperature appartus along with all the needed pumping and gas handling systems. I machine a lot of the parts needed for these. I have complete charge of the Helium recovery system, installing all lines and meters necessary to recover about 85 % of all Helium gas used. I help maintain the Helium Liquefier for the department. I also maintain and repair all the Stokes Vacuum pumps in the Department.
