How are TeV gamma rays being produced?
Vast populations of gamma-ray sources have been discovered in our galaxy in the TeV regime. However, it is still largely unknown how these gamma rays are produced. This work, completed with John Beacom, discusses the prospects for detection of TeV neutrinos from Galactic sources with cubic-kilometer neutrino telescopes (IceCube and km3net), which would categorically establish that gamma rays from these sources were produced from proton-proton scattering.
