HOW TO UPDATE HARDWARE DATABASE FOR ONE BOARD (eg new serial number)

NB COLDSTART will fail if the serial number in the hardware database 
does not match the serial number on the board!

1. Type "setup fer" on any b0dap** machine.

2. Type "java hdwusr.CardEditor  &"  

3. Click cards, go to the XFT_FINDER and XFT_LINKER crates 
and click to expand a crate. 

4. Select card(s), then go to Edit menu, click "Edit/View selected cards",
 then GUIs will pop up for each card. 

5. Check serial number versus slot.  If you need to make a change, go to File
 menu, click "Change Database connection".  You will be  prompted for a
 username and password. 

6. Type in the new serial number, hit ENTER to commit change.  This is
important, otherwise the database will not be updated!  You should see a large
text message on the terminal from which you started the CardEditor.

7. Go to File menu, click close.
