The Linker System consists of 24 identical electronics cards, each designed to identify and measure the momenta of charged tracks in a 15 degree phi-slice (in the transverse plane) of the Central Outer Tracker (COT). The input to the Linker System are pixels identifed by the Finder System. The output of the Linker is sent over 50ft of cable to the XTRP system.

Each Linker card contains 12 Linker chips, each of which is responsible for identifying the highest/best charged track in a 1.25 degree phi-slice. The minimum momentum that can be identified is 1.5 GeV/c.
