Abstract

This last year, the CDF Collaboration reported a 4 sigma excess in the lepton, missing energy, and dijets channel. This excess can be interpreted as a Gaussian peak in the jets' invariant mass, centered at 144 GeV. After commenting on the viability of the anomaly in light of the D0 negative result, I will discuss possible theoretical interpretations in terms of new physics, in particular, a leptophobic Z'. I propose alternative search channels, the expected signal at the LHC, and possible connections to dark matter.
