Status and progress on CP violation

Abstract

The talk will briefly review the present status of CP violation. Special attention will be paid to the consistent prediction for direct CP violation and the ΔI=1/2 rule in the kaon system within the Standard Model. It is discussed how Chiral perturbation theory (ChPT) can be treated as the low energy dynamics of QCD from the exact matching between QCD and ChPT in the large N_c approach.
