Fisher information and physics
Abstract
-
Use of Shannon's information measure (entropy) in a couple of real problems.
One example is drawn from operations research and one drawn
from image reconstruction.
-
Brief introduction to Fisher's Information measure. A little bit of history.
Some basic properties and a simple example.
-
Show how Fisher Information measure arises in the Lagrangians
for the Schrodinger, Klein-Gordon, Pauli and Dirac equations.
-
Prove a couple of interesting inequalities.
