I will present preliminary results on the inclusive process b --> s gamma from the BaBar experiment. The branching fraction is calculated in bins of hadronic mass, which is equivalent to measuring the gamma energy spectrum. This spectrum is used to constrain HQET parameters and fit to obtain a measurement of the inclusive branching fraction.
