Fuzzy funnels: nonabelian brane intersections

Abstract

D-branes have revealed many remarkable dualities in string theory. One such equivalence is that certain brane configurations can be described from the point of view of different world-volume theories. I review the case of D-strings intersecting orthogonal D3-branes, and also discuss our results for the D1⊥D5 system.
