Lorentz and CPT violation and the Standard Model

Alan Kostelecky (Indiana)

Abstract

At the microscopic level, Nature appears to be invariant under Lorentz and CPT transformations. I'll discuss the possibility that some of these symmetries may be broken by effects from the Planck scale. This could lead to observable signals in a variety of experiments.
