Breaking the grip of the Standard Model

Hal Evans (Columbia University)

Abstract

With the start of the new Tevatron run in 2001, hopes are high that a chink in the armor of the Standard Model will be found by the two collider experiments - CDF and D0. I will discuss the current state of the D0 experiment and show some of our first data. Looking toward the future, I will also the physics prospects of the experiment and our long-term plans.
