Cosmic acceleration today from Planck scale physics:
How it could happen and how we might notice

Andreas Albrecht, (UC Davis)

Abstract

There is growing evidence that the Universe is currently accelerating. This leaves theorists with a number of very deep puzzles. I present a particular picture of how some of these puzzles might be resolved, and show that the resulting cosmological models could have interesting observable consequences.
