The Main Injector Neutrino Oscillation Search, MINOS exmeriment is designed to
make a precision measurement of the neutrino oscillation parameter
\delta m^2_{23}. It consists of a neutrino beam and two practically
identical detectors. The Near Detector measures the neutrino flux near
the beam, while the Far Detector
measures that same flux 735 km away, half a mile underground, in
an abandoned US Steel iron mine. An underground detector is
particularly suited for the detection of cosmic ray muons, which was
the focus of my work. I studied the
Seasonal Effect , the Shadow of the
Moon and Neutrinos from Gamma Ray Bursts.
