All information that will be made available about the final exam is listed in this document.
The final exam is scheduled to take place at the following times:
4:30 Class -- Thursday, March 18th 3:30 PM - 5:18 PM
5:30 Class -- Wednesday, March 17th 3:30 PM - 5:18 PM
You will take the final exam in the room that your recitation takes place.
The final exam will be comprehensive, covering all material covered in the course, including all homework and reading assignments, all lecture material discussing these topics, and all recitation work.
There will be multiple choice as well as
problems that must be worked out which can gain partial credit.
These questions will be comprehensive,
with roughly 60 percent of the questions covering material since the midterm,
with the remaining questions covering earlier material.
The best way to prepare for the exam is to make sure you know how to do all of
the assigned homework problems, lab conceptual questions and group
work.
All material discussed in lecture is quite valuable for review as well,
both the example problems that were worked, and the physical demonstrations.
Note: Dr. Gramila recognizes that some of you have expressed concern
that he was not able to personally present the material in the last
week of class because of his hospitalization.
Appropriate consideration of this has been taken into account in the writing
of the exam by Dr. Gramila.
The exam is closed book, but we will provide an equation sheet and a list of conversion factors as part of the exam. Copies of these parts of the exam are available through the link below. DO NOT BRING THEM TO THE EXAM! They are preliminary copies of the pages which WILL BE INCLUDED in the exam you will receive in recitation.
