Math test on Wednesday, Sept. 24
There will be a 20 minutes algebra-base math test on the first day of class. The purpose of this test is to give both the instructors and students an assessment on the math skills of the students. The scores of this test will not be counted toward final grade.
Trignometry Review Sessions
Time: 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, Friday, Sept. 26.
Location: MP 1021
Midterm Exam Information
- Midterm exam will be held Monday, October 27 in recitation room at regular recitation time
- Midterm exam time: 48 minutes
- Materials covered in Midterm exam: Chapter 1 - 4 (homework #1 through #4)
- Midterm exam format: 5 multiple choice problems and 2 show-work problems. Total: 90 points
- Close book. No notes, book, or homework printout are allowed. An Equation Sheet will be provided.
Final Exam Information
- For 12:30 class, final exam will be held Monday, December 8 in recitation room at 11:30 am - 1:18 pm
- For 1:30 class, final exam will be held Tuesday, December 9 in recitation room at 1:30 pm - 3:18 pm
- Final exam time: 108 minutes
- Materials covered in final exam:
  - Chapter 1 - 4 (before midterm): about one third
  - Chapter 5 - 9 (after midterm): about two thirds
- Final exam format: 36 multiple choice problems (5 points each). Total: 180 points
- Close book. No notes, book, or homework printout are allowed. Bring your pens/pencils and CALCULATOR.
- An Equation Sheet will be provided. Note the addition of an equation for power P = W/t.
- For 12:30 class, the median is 135 (out of 180) and the shift is +4 to the targeted median of 139 (77%).
- For 1:30 class, the median is 140 (out of 180) and the shift is 0 for the targeted median of 139 (77%).
