Laboratory

Our test and measurement labs are located in 1129/1135 PRB. The phone in the lab is (614) 247-7367. These labs have the following key pieces of equipment:

♦  Mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser with femtosecond to picosecond resolution with a wavelength of 670-1000 nm

♦  Magneto-optical cryostat with a temperature range from 1.5-300 Kelvin and a magnet capable of 0-8 Tesla

♦  0.25 m spectrometer with a LN₂ cooled CCD

♦  DC transport

♦  RF transport (30 GHz bandwidth)

This equipment can be used either serially or in parallel, allowing a comprehensive suite of electronic, magnetic, and optical measurements:

♦  Photoluminescence spectroscopy

♦  Electroluminescence

♦  Time resolved absorption/reflection spectroscopy

♦  Magneto-Optical Kerr Effect (MOKE)

♦  Time resolved spin dynamics (TR-MOKE, TR-Faraday rotation)

♦  DC transport with magnetic field and/or optical excitation

♦  RF transport with magnetic field and/or optical excitation
