Electric Circuits
Accidents |
Accidents involving high voltage
circuits from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. They
also have pages on capacitor
safety, electrical
safety, and high
voltage safety. These won't qualify you to work with
circuits, but they give a nice hands-on (or off!) feel for the
subject. |
Rubbing
teflon |
Static electricity can be a collosal
pain for the circuit designer depending on the application. Here's
a story about an extreme case. |

Java circuit related calculators. |
An
odd story |
A researcher tried to use a genetic
algorithm to design a circuit. It worked, but in way he never
imagined. It took advantage of cross-talk which is normally something
you try your best to avoid. Cross-talk is a consequence of Faraday
induction which we cover in class. |
