Possible Leptoquark Signal at HERA

Ohio State University has been involved in the ZEUS experiment at the HERA accelerator, Hamburg Germany since it's design in the early 1980's. HERA is the worlds only asymmetric collider providing collisions between 820 GeV protons and 27.5 GeV electrons.

Recently anomolous high Q2 and high x events have been observed both by the ZEUS experiment, and the competing experiment across the HERA ring, H1. A possible interpretation of this data is the existance of leptoquarks. Another possibility is contact terms increasing the cross section at high Q2.

Below are links to ZEUS and H1 preprints so you can judge the evidence for yourself. In addition we have added links to press releases, limits from other experiments, and selected theoretical papers. Enjoy !
