The Event Builder (EBu) has the task to concentrate the event fragments from the crates, assemble them to the complete event and send it to the Level 3 computer. This means it has to have a connection to the 35 data links and a single output.


This figure shows our current design for a multi-level 1-4 concentrator scheme using PowerPC based PC boards.
