Explain the difference between a microstate and a macrostate. Why do the multitude of microstates become a smaller number of macrostates? Explain.
Gordons solution will appear here
A microstate is a state in which all the attributes of the conditions are indicated. A macrostate abstracts from this all the states with similar conditions. For example, a macrostate with one person speaking in class would be all the microstates possible: Christina speaking, Clay speaking, Gordon speaking, Josh speaking.
