Undergraduate Student Awards and Scholarship Recipients
Physics Academic Achievement Scholarship: The Physics Academic Achievement Scholarship provides a four (4) year, in-state tuition scholarship to incoming freshmen Physics and Engineering Physics students. The selection process is competitive. Applications are evaluated by a committee of OSU physics faculty members. This scholarship is possible due to the generosity of: Michael Valentino and Family, Alva and Clara Smith, Jack C and Charlotte D.Smith, Robert Smith and family, and Hazel Brown. Grilly Summer Research Scholarship: The Grilly Summer Research Scholarship provides funds to support undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors pursuing research opportunities with OSU physics faculty. These scholarships are awarded through a competitive application process held in the spring. This scholarship is possible due to the generosity of Dr. Edward Grilly. Tom and Bunny Clark Scholarship: The Tom and Bunny Clark Scholarship promotes and recognizes high standards and achievement in scholarship among female undergraduate physics and engineering physics majors. Students are selected for this award by a committee of physics faculty and staff.

NSF Graduate Fellowship: The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program provides students with three years of funding for research-focused master's and PhD degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics fields. Students graduating from physics or engineering physics programs apply for this fellowship to facilitate graduate school education. Rhodes Fellowship:The Rhodes Fellowship is a nationally competitive fellowship awarded to outstanding scholars from throughout the United States. The fellowship provides the opportunity for graduate study at Oxford University. This prestigious award is granted annually to 32 scholars from throughout the United States and only 80 scholars worldwide. Goldwater Scholarship: National scholarship established by Barry Goldwater to help promote excellence in science and math. Undergraduate Research Scholarship:Candidates for graduation with distinction are eligible to apply for the Colleges of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholarships.
