Credit By Examination

For Physics 111, 112 or 113 credit by examination, contact the Office of Testing at the Registrar. The Office of Testing schedules credit by examination tests for Physics 111-112-113 individually when the students contact that office at 292-2241. If a student is already enrolled in the course, the cutoff date for taking the credit by examination test is the first Friday of the quarter.

For Physics 131, 132 or 133 credit by examination, contact Dr. Adelson: adelson@mps.ohio-state.edu.

Note that the Physics 131-132-133 credit by examination tests are usually given three times per quarter, in the second and seventh weeks, and as a final exam with a class at the end of a quarter. These exams are NOT intended to be taken when you are taking a course, but before you start a course. The only exception is the first exam of the quarter which can be taken by transfer students who have not had an earlier opportunity and by students currently in a course. However, those who pass and receive credit, will have missed two weeks of the next course. We do not give permission to attend a course when the prerequisites are missing.
