3rd Annual Midwest Women in Physics Conference
During the weekend of January 16, the University of Illinois held the 2nd annual Midwest Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics. There were 8 of us from Ohio State - the most from any other school! After visiting Illinois, the OSU Department of Physics has planned to host the 3rd Annual Midwest Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics January 15-17, 2010.

2009 GRASP Summer Camp
The 2009 Girls Reaching to Achieve in Sports and Physics (GRASP) Summer Camp was held June 22-26. GRASP is a week long day camp for Middle School age girls hosted by the Women in Physics Organization in coordination with Physics faculty, staff, and students. The Department of Physics plans to host the 3rd Annual GRASP Summer Camp in June 2010. For more information, please contact one of the officers or visit the GRASP website for more information.

SWiP Discussion Night
The next SWiP Discussion Night will be held on Monday, November 23rd at 5:00pm in Physics Research Building room 1080 (the Smith Seminar Room). Dr. Joan Herbers will be joining us to speak about her research. Food will be provided. Please RSVP to Robin Wyatt (wyattr@mps.ohio-state.edu) if you plan to attend.

Monthly Movie Nights
