Girls Reaching to Achieve in Sports & Physics (GRASP)

2012 GRASP Activities - Tuesday June 12 & 19

  Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday

The campers created a non-Newtonian liquid, which has properties of both a liquid and a solid.
The girls watched a movie about the physics of ice skating and then participated in a discussion hosted by the Graduate Women in Physics group.
After the physics of ice skating discussion, the campers went to a local ice rink.
Dr. Brian Winer showed the campers some physics of ice skating demos so they could physically see the science they learned about in the morning.
