Girls Reaching to Achieve in Sports & Physics (GRASP)

The GRASP Summer Camp is a 5 day long day camp for middle school age girls hosted by the Ohio State University Society of Women in Physics in coordination with Physics faculty, staff, an students. Each day consists of hands-on, interactive physics demonstrations and projects followed by a physical activity that shows how physics relates to everyday phenomena. Ohio State staff, undergraduate students and graduate students are present at all sessions, to supervise and share their understanding and love of physics with the GRASP participants.

The 5th Annual GRASP Summer Camp will take place June 2012 and will be open to girls entering 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall of 2012.

The application process for the 2012 GRASP Summer Camp is now closed. We had 100 applicants this year and unfortunatley we can only accept 60. We don't like turning people away, but we do not have the funding or resources to accept everyone. We are still working to confirm the applicants, so please wait to hear from us. We will contact you via email during the week of April 9th to notify you of your status. Thank you for your patience.
