Sigma Pi Sigma exists to honor outstanding scholarship in physics; to encourage interest in physics among all students; to promote an attitude of service in its members toward their fellow students, colleagues, and the public; and to provide a fellowship of persons who have excelled in physics.
Sigma Pi Sigma at Ohio State, with 46 members, practices outreach in the local community, visiting the Ohio State Fair and local elementary schools and inviting Girl Scouts to experience physics first hand.

We are closely affiliated with and share many undergraduate members with the Society of Physics Students (SPS) at Ohio State. SPS at Ohio State, among other things, invites speakers (often our own faculty) to talk on a variety of topics to undergraduates in physics.
