New Interim Senior Associate Vice President for Research
Professor Robert J. Perry will begin serving as Interim Senior Associate Vice President for Research on July 1, 2003. Dr. Perry is a Professor of Physics and is currently an Associate Dean in the College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. He has been an OSU faculty member since 1987, served two years as Chair of the University Research Committee, and was Vice Chair of the OSU Research Commission where he was instrumental in producing the 1998 Research Commission Report. Professor Perry received the Faculty Award for Distinguished University Service in 2000-2001 for his contribution to University policies and programs. His new position will be a 50 percent appointment and he will work closely with faculty, staff and the administration to promote multidisciplinary work (including centers), implement the Academic Plan, and move the research program forward. His office will be located in 208 Bricker Hall, 190 North Oval Mall.
