Faculty Member Named Distinguished University Professor
Eric Herbst, Professor in the Department of Physics, has been named a Distinguished University Professor, the highest title that the university can bestow on a faculty member, and a title that will remain with him throughout his career. Provost Ed Ray presented the award to Dr. Herbst during a surprise visit on May 1. The award carries with it $10,000 in research support.
