Thankfully, our Annual Winter Party is upon us. No more Saturday nights watching reruns of THE game, eating mom's month-old Christmas cookies.
Saturday, January 25, at 7:00 p.m. in the Ag Admin Bldg. on West Campus, we will be partying in the true Physics tradition: live Big Band Music, lots of food, and lots of fun. The theme this year is "Name-that-Party...Party." It will be in the genre of the old TV quiz shows ... like "Name that Tune" or "Name-that-Food" or "I've Got a (Physics) Secret" or "Physics Family Feud" featuring Theorists/Experimentalists Mud Wrestling.
This is free, but you do need two things to come. First, get a ticket at one of our famous Physics-Tron ticket outlets (Kent Ludwig, Susan McGarvey, Michael Wells, Mary Smith (VDG) or John Whitcomb). Secondly, come with an appetizer or dessert that fits the "Name-that-Food" category. There will be prizes for the funkiest name of a food. The Department will provide the main course, veggies, drinks, plates, hardware, software, etc.
