Students and staff in the Department of Physics at Ohio State love science, and are sharing that joy with visitors at the Ohio State Fair "Fun with Physics" booth. There are cool hands-on demos—like a bed of nails!—and 20-minute shows. This booth has been a fixture at the fair for 10 years under the direction of Harold Whitt. This year the Graduate Women in Physics (GWiP) is supplying volunteers. The fair runs through August 7. The Fun with Physics booth is open each afternoon in the (air-conditioned!) Youth Center located near the north entrance. Stop by, have a blast, and learn some science!
