Julia Meyer Receives NSF CAREER Award
Julia Meyer, Assistant Professor of Physics, has received an NSF CAREER award supporting theoretical research and education involving novel phenomena associated with the close contact of superconductors and other materials.
The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program offers the National Science Foundation's most prestigious awards in support of the early career-development activities of those teacher scholars who most effectively integrate research and education. This integration is intended to improve the participation and training of students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics-related fields.
Dr. Meyer's CAREER award totals $425,000 to cover research expenses over a five year period.
