Clifford Heer Graduate Student Award
Esther Heer and Debra Heer Fox were recently honored to celebrate the family's generous donation establishing the Dr. Clifford Heer Graduate Student Scholarship Award in the Department of Physics. This endowment is in memory of Emeritus Professor Clifford Heer (BS '42, PhD '49).
Beginning this year, the graduate student presenters of the best posters in the Physics Graduate Student Poster Competition will win the Clifford Heer Award, a scholarship to support the students' professional development. The Physics Graduate Student Poster Competition will be held May 11-15, 2009 in the Atrium of the Physics Research Building.
