The International Linear Collider, The Physics and The Technology

Nigel Lockyer

University of Pennsylvania

Abstract: Particle Physics is on the verge of major discoveries according to many physicists, some of them informed. More dramatically, some say we are about to undergo a revolution. The Large Hadron Collider, neutrino experiments, b-quark factories, astro-particle ground based and sateliite based experiments are all part of the big picture and poised for discovery. The International Linear Collider (ILC) may be the largest undertaking in science yet. What does the International Linear Collider have to say about extra spacial dimensions, dark matter, dark energy, electroweak symmetry breaking, and extra quantum dimensions. Lots!
