I will analyse the many societal problems in developing countries and then isolate the ones that I believe are the key. I will show that to make sustainable impact on these one has to confront an underlying thread and essential component -- behavior change. I will present an outline of a Teacher Training Program that I have developed in Microsoft powerpoint and implemented in schools in India. To have global impact, such information packages should be converted into multimedia. I will show examples of multimedia developed by school students in India. The second initiative I will discuss is aimed at improving rural health care and education (one of the three key areas on my list of the most urgent and basic) using computers for diagnostics, record keeping, and education. This development is being implemented by The George Foundation, an NGO based in India and directed by Dr. Abraham George of New Jersey.
